Welcome to The Parable Theatre Company!

The Parable Theatre Company is a professional theatre company based in Ohio.  Our mission is two-fold: to help churches in the United States and abroad to incorporate drama in worship, and to produce faith-based professional presentations for the edification of local audiences.  

NEWS:  We're pleased to announce "33" - three free staged readings of three modern important Christian plays in June and July in Findlay, Ohio.  The three new plays we've decided to showcase - Redeeming Love, Glory Man, and God's Man in Texas have been seen and praised around the United States and Canada. All have been written since 2002.  Part of the mission of the Parable Theatre Company is to celebrate quality Christian theatre, and presenting this scripts in staged readings helps us to fulfill this mission.

SummerStock, a professional theatre based at the University of Findlay will host the Parable Theatre Company readings, and the readings will be cast with the professional company members and special guests.  The readings, taking place at 7pm on June 30, July 7, and July 21 on the Grimm Theatre stage at The University of Findlay, are free for all.  The content, particularly in Redeeming Love, is best for adults - PG and PG-13.

The Parable Theatre Company began in 1997 as a performing and script-writing organization.  We have offered our free script writing service for six years, and have assisted churches all around the United States, as well as in London, England and Malaysia. 

God has blessed our professional artistic endeavors.  As actors, we are members of Actors Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild.  As playwrights we have won the national short playwriting competition sponsored by Christians in Theatre Arts.  As teachers and directors we have worked for more than 5 major universities around the country, and continue to run a collegiate theatre program and professional secular summer company.
